If you are considering a Cleantron Basic Battery Module for your Application, Cleantron can offer advice and customisation. Because a Basic Module is a certified product, it implies that the Li-ion Cell selection (Chemistry & Cell type), Mechanical Design of the Housing, the Hardware Electronics and Connectors are fixed. However, in order to optimize the functioning of the Battery for your Application, Cleantron can advise you and, if needed, customize the Battery Firmware. Together with Cleantron you can secure the Performance, (CANbus) Communication and System Integration in your Vehicle or Product.

The Cleantron P4P is a compact Battery Module suitable for numerous Light Electric Vehicles and Industrial applications.The P4P can be used as a portable Battery Pack (suitable for quick battery exchange or “swapping”) and can be used as a building block for a larger modular system up to 16 modules in parallel (for higher current and capacity).

Compact Lightweight Portable Pack CLP

The Cleantron CLP is a lightweight compact Battery Module most suitable for quick & easy battery exchange (“battery swapping”). As the CLP weighs only 9 Kg. and is equipped with a blind mating connector, the CLP can be swapped single handed.

CLP comes with a Docking Station that can be integrated in the Vehicle/Application and with a Charging Cabinet.

The CLP is often used in a Portable Battery System.

System Module P4X

The Cleantron P4X is an advanced 48V modular Battery Pack. This Module is designed for applications that have more far-reaching requirements in the area of mechanical integrity, IP rating, C-rates and Parallel or Series (HV) Modularity. 

The Cleantron P4X can be used in numerous Light Electric Vehicles and Industrial applications. The P4X can be used as a “Plug & Play” Battery Pack but can also be used in a larger System; P4X can be the building block for larger modular systems up to 16 modules in parallel (for higher current and capacity). 

P4X Modules are available in 2 different capacities:

  • HD (High Energy Density)
  • UHD (Ultra-High Density)       

P4X Modules are available with Passive Cooling realised by an smart Thermal Path design.

The P4X passive cooling works through an optimised Thermal Path in the
P4X design using advanced heat conductive technologies like thermo
conductive plastics and gap filling technology.

GX - Battery Module

Scalable High Voltage System

The Cleantron GX is an advanced Battery Module designed for scalability and modularity in Voltage and Capacity. It is engineered for applications requiring mechanical integrity, IP rating, C-rates and scalability in Voltage and Capacity.

The Cleantron GX is suitable for Electric Mobility, Industrial applications, as well as, Agricultural, and Construction equipment. The GX module serves as the ideal building block for modular systems, adjusting multiple [X] modules in parallel for higher currents and capacity, and multiple [Y] modules in series for higher voltage.

The GX Module is available with a capacity of 5.9 kWh (at least 5.5kWh effective capacity).

The GX modules are enabled for the latest immersion cooling technology. Here the cells can be immersed in a coolant liquid that runs through a channel between the cells. This coolant liquid can also be used for heating the cells. Alternatively, the modules can also be used without immersion cooling and resistive heater elements for heating the cells. This largely depends on the application and the use case of the battery system.

Battery Management Unit

The Cleantron Battery Management Unit (BMU) is a central processing, protection and control unit designed for both low voltage <60VDC and high voltage applications. The BMU is designed to meet safety standards compliance like the ISO26262 and IEC61508 for automotive and industrial applications. Additionally, special attention has been given for ISO13849 for machinery applications as well. The BMU also offers advanced thermal management and control based on measurement data and state estimation and control algorithms for safe and optimal usage of battery modules.

Based on the battery module voltage, several modules can be stacked in series up to 1000 VDC. For GX 2S (48V) modules, a maximum of 16 modules can be stacked in series. For GX 1S (24V) modules, a maximum of 32 modules can be stacked in series. This is defined as a HV string. Moreover, although customizable due to its scalable design, up to 2-4 HV strings can be connected in parallel to the BMU. The BMU can have a current rating from 100A to 600A.
